Happy birthday to me!!
Today, I am 44yo and woke up to a nice basket of assorted goodies, chocolates, treats. Very noice! We’ll go to dinner tonight. On Friday morning, Mix 94.5FM will feature my team in the ATO on the workplace 9@9 between 9am and 10am.
The least Arsenal could have done was beat Liverpool. I mean, they knew it was my birthday today. Cycled home with a guy last night (Daryl) who has done 7 Busselton Half Ironmans and going along at a good clip.
I won’t change my bike configuration this time around. Stick with ‘Sparkles’ complete with Mavic Ksyrium wheels, ultegra groupset. Not only are we doing Mt Kilimanjaro with several friends in Jan 09 but the Kokoda Trail is also shaping up as an option. I really hope all the training isn’t undone with altitude sickness….not a lot of places in Western Australia that we can prepare for this.
Some solid training efforts over these next couple of weeks should sort me out. I had my annual flu injection today. Don’t normally get feverish or sick after these.
Had my parents call me from Melbourne last night to wish me a happy birthday. Great to hear from them. Mum has rheumatoid arthritis and dad has Alzheimers so between them, they get on fine. Still, I’m looking to go to Melbourne to catch up with all my family (parents, brothers and sister and assorted nephews and nieces)
I have an AFL tip for you. A young guy that my son used to do State cross country running with, Kieran King. He’s 17 , a national 400m running champ (47sec if you don’t mind) and is great footballer. I was right with my last prediction of Masten being in the top echelon of last year’s draft. I think Kieran is in a WAIS footy squad at present. Anyone, you read it here first!!
We have a huge Chinese restaurant, the Dragon Palace, about to open up in Northbridge. You need to see this place. Very opulent - the building used to be owned by bikies I think and was going to be a nightclub. Anyway, watch this space! Opening soon.
