Run, bike, rain, cold, eat!

A pretty good summary of the week since Monday. Been commuting on the Colnago (bright yellow and red) - you cant miss it, together with my Colnago top, orange gloves and orange socks. Please don’t ask me what statement I’m making - it certainly isn’t a fashion statement.

Thursday’s running training was just hard. I’m trying to get faster. The women are fast- faster than me in any event but they are sub 4min/km runners. I was so tempted to skip this session but I’m glad I cycled to Yokine to do it.

Saturday, forecast was thunderstorms . A few cyclists showed up for the shop ride (around 5 in total). I decided to go for a run down Ranford Rd to Bannister Rd and back. About an hour.

Today, Cyclosportif at Swan Valley with  record numbers (well over 750 people). Awesome, and congrats to Trevor Edwards and the organising committee. Nice food this weekend with Dee cooking up some great meals for our dinner guests Sat and lunch guests (family) today.

Some solid training awaits to get ready for Pinjarra on 3/8 cyclosportif. No start for me for the Perth Marathon this Sunday and still seriously contemplating the Painathlon. Let me know with a comment if you think I should do it.

Stay fit, healthy, happy …..and well-fed. Carlton won again. All is right with the world.

CHRISTO
